Child Pose And Its Benefits
Child Pose is a resting pose, which stretches your spine and relaxes your neck, shoulders and back. Performed between challenging yoga poses, the benefits of Child Pose are immense.
How To Do Child Pose
- Kneel down on the mat with your
thighs closer together.
- Maintain some distance between
your heels sufficient enough for you to place your buttock. Let your big
toes maintain contact. This will resemble ‘V’ shape.
- Place your buttocks on the
space between the heels. Keep your back straight.
- Lift your hands sideways and
bring them over your head.
- Bend forward without lifting
your buttocks. Stretch your hands forward and towards the floor as you
bend.
- Stretch the upper part of your
body well enough so that you can place your forehead on the floor. Place
your hands stretched in front of you on the floor.
- You can also place the hands by
the sides with palms upwards.
Duration: 30 seconds
